Atelier des Lumières: immerse yourself in the works of Dalí and Gaudí!

Definitely, the Atelier des Lumières, this former foundry created in 1835 and reopened in 2018 as a digital art center, knows how to make our mouths water with its programs: after Klimt in 2018, Van Gogh in 2019 and a trip to the Mediterranean shores in the company of Monet, Renoir and (among others) Chagall in 2020, we will leave, from February 12, 2021
Definitely, the Atelier des Lumières, this former foundry created in 1835 and reopened in 2018 as a digital art center, knows how to make our mouths water with its programs: after Klimt in 2018, Van Gogh in 2019 and a trip to the Mediterranean shores in the company of Monet, Renoir and (among others) Chagall in 2020, we will leave, from February 12, 2021 until January 2, 2022, in the footsteps of the most Parisian of Catalan artists, Salvador Dalí! Atelier des Lumières: honor to the Catalan art of Dalí and Gaudí Throughout 2021, the Atelier des Lumières will hypnotize us to the rhythm of the famous and unique works of Salvador Dalí through an immersive experience called “Dalí, the endless enigma”. As part of a thematic tour, you can stroll through the surrealist landscapes of the Catalan painter and immerse yourself in a dozen of the artist’s works, from Soft Watches to the Face of Mae West to The Temptation of Saint Anthony. Paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, prints, films and archival images will also allow us to get to know a little better the exuberant, and often strange, personality of the mustache painter. And to accentuate a little the hypnotic and hovering aspect that the Spanish painter loved so much, the entire digital exhibition will be punctuated by the music of Pink Floyd, from their two most legendary albums, The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. And to end a decidedly very Catalan program, the short program of the Atelier des Lumières will be devoted to Gaudí: “Gaudí, architect of the imagination” will return to the course, the work and the career of Antonio Gaudí, the architect who was one of Dalí’s great sources of inspiration. Deemed to be whimsical and provocative when they were created, his works – most of them from Barcelona – are today among the most acclaimed in the world and seven of them are even listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. So, are you ready to experience Parc Güell, Casa Batlló or the Sagrada Família from a whole new perspective? See you next February!
